When/why did you decide to learn coaching?

I realized that corporate America was not where I belonged, and in April 2005, I left the company to pursue other interests. This included doing a very in-depth study of my professional and career choices and their results, and the examination of why I was not living the life I wanted. The Universe led me to The Coaching Institute and after much thought and research, I made the decision to pursue this goal.

What symptoms did you have that prompted this career change decision?

I had been professionally unhappy for quite some time, and the salary was not keeping up with either my education nor specialized training. The worsening toxic atmosphere in the firm simply made it clear that a major change needed to be made.

What skills now benefit you and/or your company?

I am now entirely self-employed running three businesses, which include an organizing and moving consultant business (The Moving Diva), coaching (Manifest Your Success) and my passion for creative arts is fulfilled with Kenilworth House Collection, my textile design and fiber art business. With this, I am a working member of a coop art gallery here in Boise, Idaho. My ability to focus on the project at hand, to follow through with intentions, and to maintain my enthusiasm and integrity are the skills which I credit.

What do I do as a coach?

Manifest Your Success (www.manifestyoursuccess.com) was developed out of a deep strong belief that everyone, especially women, should be able to follow and succeed at their own personal dreams - whatever they may be. Women of my age (over 45.) usually fell into the traditional roles of homemaker and parent, or were meant to be satisfied with traditional and low-paying employment. By the time we reach "maturity" many of those dreams have been lost, forgotten, buried, or otherwise not followed. One of my aims and goals as a coach is to work with women who want to explore their "what-if's" and find personal success in their own unique style and form. Another goal as a coach is to help people, again - especially women- conquer the "overwhelm" associated with dis-organization in their lives, homes, businesses as well as "Time Mis-Management". By forging a pathway through this rubble, their dreams can find light and grow to abundance.

Any other comments or examples you want to mention regarding how your training at The Coaching Institute has changed/benefited your life and/or career and those around you?

I did not even know that there was a way through my confusion of career pathways, until I became a part of The Coaching Institute. I have grown in professional confidence and strength far beyond the lessons taught in the virtual classroom. Terri’s own experience and integrity as well as her unparalleled curriculum-driven training have ignited a flame of passion and intention within me, which even my graduate school training could not do.
