Our Coaching Institute Graduates
Name: Rev. Stan Smith
Your previous job:
Co-minister with my wife Barbara at Unity Spiritual Center in Westlake, Ohio.
How long did you work there?
I have been here since July 1997.
What was/is your position?
I am the CEO and Senior Minister.
When/why did you decide to learn coaching?
January 2006. I listened to Terri's teleseminar and realized it was just perfect for me.
What symptoms did you have that prompted this career change decision?
A yearning to be closer to the individuals with whom I am involved. Speaking from a platform is not as satisfying to me as being on the phone or in a bonded group setting.
What skills now benefit you and/or your company?
Every skill I learned in my lifetime is activated in my coaching. I am gifted in tuning in, and many years of success with helping people confirm this.
What do I do as a coach?
I assist clients, more women than men, to get past confusion, anxiety and loss of passion for their life by coaching them to recreate and simply their lives and to gain what matters most. I also coach corporate clients in marketing skills and immproving communications.
Any other comments or examples you want to mention regarding how your training at The Coaching Institute has changed/benefited your life and/or career and those around you?
Yes! Coaching for me is one-on-one ministry and uses all my knowledge in a highly satisfying way.
If somebody has a question and wants to email you to ask personally – can they?
Yes, I am at srogersmith@mac.com or revstan@wideopenwest.com. I welcome the conversations that may come.
