Our Coaching Institute Graduates
Name: Timothy J. Dey, M.D.
Your previous job:
I began learning coaching skills following my graduation from Wayne State School of Medicine (Detroit, MI) in 2001.
When/why did you decide to learn coaching?
The decision to obtain formal executive coaching skills was part of a larger process of creating a career that is both financially successful and consistent with my lifestyle goals.
Identifying those elements that I associate with a highly satisfying quality of life was the first step – participation in CI’s comprehensive training program was a logical progression towards realizing that professional vision for myself.
What skills now benefit you and/or your company?
The ability to effectively coach executives, physicians, and health care professionals of all types is an essential element of the services provided to my clients through my company, The Dey Group, Inc.
Coaching skills are useful not only for the coaching side of my business, but also for my work as an adjunct professor, keynote speaker and writer of online training materials and coursework of all types.
If somebody has a question and wants to email you to ask personally – can they?
Dr. Dey can be reached by e-mail at dr.dey@deygroup.com, through his website www.deygroup.com or by phone during normal business hours at 313-383-0582. He welcomes all questions and comments about his classes, writing and work and enjoys exchanging ideas with others.
